An afterthought:
As human beings we love to quote those whose language has captured a feeling, a fragmentary thought or an intriguing perspective. It also inspires us to find expression in our truths.
I've navigated calm and rough seas assisted by those symbolic beams of light from the various lighthouses positioned at key points along the shore. What I find so comforting and worth the voyage are God, loved ones, casual acquaintances, people of goodwill and the challengers who've cheered me on and have welcomed me with open arms and hearts as I came ashore. ~Carolyn Moon~

Interestingly, there is another elder in my life who stated that she will be in retreat starting August 1st, throughout the whole month. She wants to use that time to go into deeper prayer and get Divine guidance and answers relative to her non-profit cultural health and wellness organization.
We need renewal and time to reflect so that we can live more fully. August is a time for introspection for me too. I will be finishing one phase of my life and entering into a new phase. It is all about progress. But, throughout, I have had ups and downs, felt tired, and sometimes, it seemed like I was not going to make it.
God has shown up in so many ways to encourage me forward, onward, Godward, Heavenward. I thank God, that I have the faith to see and embrace the various manifestations. So, I go forward because I expect to finish strong and well.
Blessings,

Thank you for this inspiring message. I have no doubt that you will continue to soar. There are many young women of color like yourself who've taken on lifestyles to improve their physical as well as mental health. I've also learned by reading your blog and patronizing your entrepreneurial ventures that the barriers that many of us have constructed...just don't exist for you and others of like mind. Thank God.
One thing I know for sure at this phase of my journey is that it's not over until it's over. The elder you speak of is inspiring for me as well.
I'm so glad to have met you, Ms. Afropolitan, Anna Renee and others in this vast land of cyberspace. There is a connection and if we never meet face to face; I've been enriched by the association.
God Bless you Keke!
Have a wonderful time.
I've been feeling like going away too :) but I must plug along here for the time being.
I wish for you renewal of the spirit as well as the physical.
Thank you Desertflower for your support and best wishes for spiritual renewal. My appreciation for your understanding of what I'm embarking on runs deep!
Peace and blessings.....
